Yes, within regulated limits. Our operators and riggers hold close approach licences, which allows work within the allowed distances of live lines under the correct controls. In Byron’s older streets this regularly makes the difference between a lift proceeding and waiting weeks for a power outage to be scheduled.
It comes down to the machine, the access and the time on site. Tight-access spider crane work is priced differently to a truss lift with the Franna. We quote free with no hidden costs, and a photo of the site is usually enough for an accurate price.
No, that is what it is designed for. The Maeda runs non-marking tracks and can work over finished floors, tiles and decking with appropriate protection, which is why it is the machine for indoor steel, glass walls and renovation work in occupied homes. We plan surface protection as part of the lift.
It needs their permission, and it is worth sorting early. Swinging a load over an adjoining property without agreement is a quick way to stop a job. We will tell you at the site assessment whether the lift can be planned to stay within your boundary, and if it cannot, what to ask your neighbour for.
Earlier than the rest of the year. Byron’s peak periods bring traffic, parking pressure and council restrictions on some streets, and lifts that need road space take longer to arrange. If your job lands near school holidays or summer, call as soon as you have dates and we will plan around it.
Yes. Plant, equipment, structural steel and container work in and around the estate are regular jobs for us, with the Franna and the 40T covering most of it. For recurring commercial needs we can also set up standing arrangements so the crane is there when your schedule needs it.
