Director Neil Bauer has been in construction since he was 16: ten years in earthmoving, twenty in cranes. He relocated to the Northern Rivers in 2006 and spent the better part of two decades working in and growing the family crane business into a large regional operation, before establishing Bauer Cranes to service this region under his own name.

Neil completed a crane supervisor course to act as site supervisor on heavy crane lifts, and holds a CO licence, an RI licence and a Crane Supervisor licence. On complex jobs, the lift plan is owned by someone accountable, on site.
Neil spent close to twenty years helping run and grow the family crane business into one of the region’s largest operations, lifting on everything from local home builds to the Pacific Highway upgrade. When the chance came to go out on his own, he backed himself, and Bauer Cranes was built the way he believes crane hire should be run: locally owned, personally answerable, and staffed by people who treat every lift like their name is on it. Because it is.
